Jasmine Mariani spent the first year of her academic life studying both interior design and architecture, testing her capabilities in two closely paralleled design fields. Her later decision to attend the Politecnico di Milano's Undergraduate Architecture Program is what essentially paved the way of the start of her architectural career. She concluded her studies at the Politecnico with a thesis on Disaster Relief Architecture and Temporary Housing, a topic of research further explored through the co-founding of her non-profit organisation; The Shelter Project.
Today, Jasmine lives between Bali, Indonesia, and Singapore, where her time is balanced between architecture, design and project management, in combination with running The Shelter Project. Her role as leading both the design and construction of a project allows for transparent and innovative design. Jasmine’s focus as a designer is to create spaces which provide comfort and aesthetic, whilst remaining in tune with nature and present ecological limitations.
